We demand, advocate, and support parents to fight inequitable policies to ensure every child has access to a quality education.

The St. Louis education system has failed Black and Brown families for generations.  Bridge 2 Hope is building a movement that is disrupting that system. We’re educating and empowering parents to advocate for radical changes so our children get the high quality education they  deserve. We’re showing up, speaking up and not going away.

Courageous parents lead

Education is a civil right. For suburban white children, education is a pathway to productive and prosperous career opportunities and lives. But it’s different for Black and Brown children. School doesn’t prepare them for success. In fact, the institutional racism and trauma they experience can actually harm them and set them up for failure. Then school becomes the pathway to drugs, prison and even death.

At Bridge 2 Hope, we teach parents from struggling communities what a school environment without barriers looks like. Great schools and classrooms where:

  • every child is valued and loved
  • every child has the support and resources he or she needs
  • families are recognized as valued partners
  • every child is gaining the knowledge and skills they need to be successful in college and careers

Bridge 2 Hope is a pathway to a better future for ALL children. Our vision that every child has access to academically excellent schools. This takes local, state and national policy changes. This takes disruption. This takes a parent movement.
